We’re starting the weekend at Matelot Gulch, where guests can pan for gold in the same water that once drew people west on instinct alone. It’s tactile, a little unpolished, and unexpectedly satisfying and whatever you find is yours to keep.
As the light softens, we’ll move into Columbia State Historic Park. By then, the town has mostly closed for the day, which is when it feels at its best. The wooden sidewalks, the quiet storefronts, the sense that nothing here has been rushed forward.
From there, the evening settles along Main Street. Drinks, pizza, and small bites will be waiting at a few of the spots that stay open a little later, including St. Charles Saloon and City Hotel Restaurant & What Cheer Saloon. It’s relaxed by design, good food, something cold in hand, and just enough movement in the background to keep the night feeling alive.
